Louis Martin Jewelers was established march 1976, and is family owned and operated ever since. We have been located in the same location on 50th street in the heart of Rockefeller center. During that time we have expanded 3 times to our present newly renovated store. Our store was featured in the Professional Jeweler’s magazine and other publications.

Our current space which took over a year to design and build was designed by a world famous architect. While discussing the design we decided to create an image in which the customer will remember us by. We came up with a 45x 4 ft mural painted in an art deco style characteristic of the landmark building in which we are located in. The mural depicts illustrations of the steps involved in diamond production, starting from the mining process to the finished product.

We have our own jewelry and watch maker’s shops on the premises, which specialize in handcrafted custom jewelry and repairs. There are two certified GIA gemologist on site willing to assist and appraise your jewelry.

Louis Martin Jewelers imports certified diamonds, precious gemstones and materials; therefore is able to deliver not only superior craftsmanship and design but exceptional value as well.

We carry a full line of 14kt -18kt gold, platinum and diamond finished jewelry. In addition we carry the complete line of Lladro, and are known to be the largest vintage and pre-owned watch dealer in New York City.

Pearl and Bead Stringing
Pearls don’t only provide you with luxury, they need a little luxury themselves. Fine quality pearls live longest when strung on a silk cord. The silk is gentle enough not to wear on the pearl, while each bead is knotted in place, ensuring the pearls aren’t unnecessarily rubbing each other. Over time, the silk cord can wear down itself, so depending on how often you wear your pearls, they will have to be re-strung from time to time.
Pearls aren’t the only type of gem that may need this kind maintenance. We also provide standard stringing services for other beaded works including the option of cable instead of cord. We can recommend which type is most appropriate for your necklace.

Engraving
When you want to personalize any of your jewelry, we offer both hand and laser engraving.

Watch Repair
Just like your car, your watch needs regular maintenance. We have an on-site Horologist (you can see him working from our watch maker’s window on the street) that can do anything from a simple cleaning to a full overhaul and everything in between.

Appraisals
Every piece purchased from Louis Martin comes with an appraisal or certificate upon request. With our in house GIA Gemologist and Horologist we can also provide appraisals for jewelry you already own or have recently inherited.
