Longero was founded in 1923 by Phil Longo and Nick Vallero as a partnership engaged in boiler repair and sheet metal work. At that time the company was known as Longero Boiler and Sheet Metal Works, Inc. In 1930, the company moved to 3410 Brighton Blvd., Denver, CO. In April 1958 the machinery and equipment were sold to T.E. Mattox and J.F. McCauley who changed the name to Longero, Inc. In 1980, the physical plant was expanded from 6000 to 17,500 square feet adding several overhead cranes. In 1988, the company was purchased by SLG, Inc. who doubled the annual sales of the company. In June 1993 the company was purchased by Iron Mountain Industries who has continued the strong growth trend. The company more than doubled its sales volume in less than three years. This has been due to the assembly of a truly great team of professionals in every aspect of the business. As the company has grown, the need for a larger facility was identified in 1995. As a result the company moved to its current facility in November of 1997. This move more than doubled the manufacturing space and increased sorely needed hook height to 24 feet. The facility is now capable of fabricating an 80,000 pound fabrication. In 2016 we celebrated our 93rd year as a company and look forward to serving your steel fabrication and forming needs for many years to come.
