Our customer base constst of the general public and small private companies to bluechip PLC companies & other scrap merchants. This facitily enables us to offer excellent prices for Copper or Aluminium cables.Each year scrap cable contributes significantly to landfill sites and creates long-term environmental issues due to the fact that plastic coatings are not biodegradable.

We are probably the only scrap metal merchant in London with its own cable granulation plant, a brand new facility onsite which gives us the opportunity to offer excellent prices for cable. Our competitors have to sell cable onto granulation companies like ourselves, hence, we'll never be beaten on price. We can process household wire, low grade armoured, single core, multi-core and much, much more.Our cable granulation system consists of a pre-shredder from which material is fed into a granulator via a feeding component. The conveyor is equipped with a magnet to remove the ferrous component. The granulated material is then processed by a pulverising mill and is sorted out via an air separator. The results speak for themslves - 99.5% clean copper.

London City Metals Limited moved into new, purpose built facilities in 2010. We are located close to the centre of London and London City Airport and are perfectly placed to service the needs of our national and international clients. Our facilities are rapidly expanding and include ferrous department with a Taurus 500 ton shear, 3 x JCB grabs and an A-ward container tilter which enables us to load scrap into containers onsite for immediate export to accross the globe. Arriving soon: a new 800 ton shear.We have a cable granulation department with a new Matrix 1000 system, a bailing facility for bailing and palletising non-ferrous for export, a shearing department that allows us to shear material by hand and keep a strict control over quality.Today’s modern metal processing market requires quick response times, high service levels and a quality product.
