The Lite Metals Company had its beginnings as the A. C. Williams Company, founded in 1844. The original foundry began by producing iron castings and over the next 150+ years went through many changes.

The current foundry produces magnesium and aluminum sand castings mostly for the helicopter industry with commercial applications in the racing sector and other miscellaneous markets. The foundry received its AS9100 certification in November 2007.

Today, as a small, family owned and operated business, Lite Metals produces quality magnesium and aluminum sand castings from ounces up to 200 pounds. They are affiliated with their sister company AirCraft Wheels LLC located in Avon, OH.

The Lite Metals Company is a magnesium and aluminum foundry producing sand castings since 1844. We have 170 years of experience in the foundry business and our casting quality satisfies the most demanding aircraft and racing industry requirements. Currently, we are ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100C certified. We also have our Nadcap certification for Magnesium Heat Treating and Tensile Testing as well as Non-Destructive Testing.
