About Company

Lindstrom Machining has been providing machining services for over 68 years. Of course, we’re doing it a bit differently now, with new, state-of-the-art equipment. But one thing that hasn’t changed is our traditional values – things like on-time delivery, honest answers and personal service. As a Christian-owned business, we are committed to upholding biblical values in how we conduct our work.

Our History

It all started in the basement of Robert C. Lindstrom’s home in 1950. Soon, the business grew to be too much for the basement (or perhaps his wife was just tired of all the noise downstairs), so Robert built a garage in the backyard and moved the machine shop into it.

Eventually, that space too was outgrown, and in 1956, Robert moved the business to its present location. Robert’s son Al Lindstrom joined the business in 1955 as an apprentice. Al learned all aspects of the business and took over the reigns as president in 1995.

Under his leadership, the business rose to the next level with the addition of computer-controlled equipment. Keeping it in the family, Al’s three sons, Chris, Todd and Wade, all cut their teeth on the machines (not literally, of course!) While Todd and Wade eventually moved on to other companies, Chris continued to work in the business with his father until Al’s passing in 2006.

Al’s wife Rose Lindstrom became the owner and President of the company. Together with Chris, they continued to manage the company and build its reputation as a trustworthy and dependable organization.

Meanwhile, Todd deepened his expertise in the technical side of machining obtaining training in CNC programming and working in management at some of the area’s largest machining businesses.

Now, the third generation has come back together as Todd and Chris take ownership of Lindstrom Machining. The brothers have invested in new, state-of-the-art machinery, have updated processes for greater operational efficiency and now provide more extensive CAD/CAM capabilities. But, some things haven’t changed – like the principles of honesty and integrity upon which the company was built by the generations that preceded them.

Why Choose Lindstrom Machining?

1. We’re honest.

“Now wait a minute! Shouldn’t everyone be honest?” you ask. Yes, everyone you work with SHOULD be honest. But based on our experience and the stories we hear from our customers, other shops often tell you what you want to hear. While, we love to make you happy, we’re not going to stretch the truth to do it. If we aren’t able to make your part the way you want, when you need it and at a fair cost, we’re going to tell you that – even if it means losing a job. We’re just not willing to compromise our values.

2. We deliver on time.

While this is sort of implied by our first reason, it deserves repeating. We hear time and time again how delivery dates are pushed, missed and generally not taken seriously by shops. When we give you a delivery date, we meet it. Enough said.

3. We are 3rd generation family-owned and operated.

Maybe this is why we feel so strongly about the first two reasons. Our grandfather started this business in 1950. It was later owned and run by our father and has now passed down to the third generation. They built this business on strong ethics and raised us to have strong character. Frankly, we could never disappoint our father and grandfather by conducting business any other way.

4. We know our stuff.

Although the business is family founded and built on family values, it is by no means a “mom and pop shop.” We have accumulated years of experience both inside and outside the family business including at some of the largest, high-tech machine shops in central PA, and we have brought that technical expertise back to Lindstrom Machining. So, we can give you high-quality, efficient production that is on par with the biggest shops in this area and deliver it with the personal service you’ll only find … well, here, at Lindstrom Machining.
