Liles Crushed Concrete
Our Story
Liles Crushed Concrete was founded by Robin Liles in 1998 in Tatum TX. However, his story began a few years prior. In 1992, getting his feet wet in the construction industry, Liles began driving a 1979 model Mack bobtail with NO A/C as a "Haul for Hire" service. Being young in the industry and low on funds, Liles had to make due with what he could if he wanted to take his efforts to the next level. By 1994 he was able to purchase his second used truck to continue the growth of his "Haul for Hire" service and by the end of that year he made the proud purchase of a brand new Mack truck and trailer. In 1995 he was able to add an additional (2) new trucks to his fleet.
Two key factors in most success stories are networking and relationship building. We wouldn't be who we are today without the relationships we've had the privilege of building. Some of Liles's most influential relationships came into play in the late 1990's. In 97' he began running "haul for hire" for transit mix where he built one of his most valued relationships to this day. The following year in 98' through another key relationship he took a job for the City of Henderson and got his foot in the door of the crushing business. He rented his first crusher through Power Screen of Texas and crushed Ironore for the city.
Finally one of his most vital and treasured relationships would come into play in 1999. They were able to help him secure his first official crushing location in Longview TX. This is where the business really began to prosper. The location was already stocked with demo concrete for cleaning, crushing, and selling. Around the time he secured the Longview location, Robin worked with Transit Mix to start dumping their excess concrete at his new location. This service gave Transit Mix the ability to get rid of their trash and for Liles to turn it into a sought after product. Given limestone was and still is much more expensive to truck in and unavailable in this area. Crush Concrete is a great product for construction usage in North East Texas. Liles continued making his rounds and offering his services to batch plants, road construction companies, and anyone dabbling in the concrete/construction industry.
By 2000 he had partnered with several businesses in the greater East Texas area and even Shreveport LA. His services now consisted of demo haul off, customer dump services, delivery, and pick up of his prime products. (Concrete Base, Oversize, and Recycled Asphalt). He would later go on to open his Tatum yard in 2010 and his Shreveport yard in 2021. With his continued growth and expansion of products and services Liles needed to pull from the family tree. Liles's son Dillon started working for him in 2015. Working his way from yard clean up crew to Jobsite Manager.
This year in 2023, Liles needed to tug a little more on the family tree and called on his daughter and son-in Law, Lacy and Jordan Schneider to join in on the family business. With backgrounds in sales, marketing, service, and operations Lacy and Jordan are helping to head up multiple divisions within the company. Our goal is to provide efficient and quality service to our customers. As Liles's did from the beginning, we believe in hard work and relationships. We aim to continue that legacy and adjust as needed to ensure our customers are always well taken care of.
