Once metal, always metal

With this guiding principle, Leo Herrmann founded the scrap dealer Leo Herrmann GmbH in 1949 - long before the term "recycling" became established in German usage. Even then, the founder recognized the value of scrap and the need for metal recycling and the environmentally friendly use of raw materials.

Our company, based in the Rhön economic region near Fulda, has since specialized in the recycling and disposal of steel and non-ferrous metals and thus contributes to meeting the targets of the circular economy as an integral part of the disposal and recycling industry.

Since 2007, Leo Herrmann GmbH has been run in the third generation by Roland Sauer, the grandson of the company founder, who took over the business from his aunt Annemarie Schneider and his father Manfred Sauer.

Both built Leo Herrmann GmbH into a certified waste management company (ESN). Regular audits ensure the high quality standards of our company in the long term.
