Kompomo

The Kompomo was created in the 1990s as a landfill for compostable waste from the local people. After a few years it became the composting center for the community of Neuenegg . In 2009, the company began developing into what is now an innovative and leading institution for the processing of biomass and a manufacturer of high-quality soil mixtures and products for horticulture.

Kompomo is circular economy and recycling according to the highest ecological standards, since 2018 even peat-free.

We produce substrates and products for horticulture, architecture, construction and agriculture and private garden lovers for the Bern catchment area . Our customers appreciate the diversity and availability as well as our practical services .

Born in 1992 - an institution today

Was the investment in the 1990's, intended as a landfill for compostable waste of Anreiner, now the Kompostierzentrum for the municipality of Neuenegg and far evolved from beyond.

The profile of today's second generation Kompomo GmbH as a dynamic and innovative recycling center was created in 2009 . We refined the recycling concepts and developed successful products for modern and environmentally conscious gardening and landscaping - on the ground and right up to the roof. With the introduction of organic forest flooring, Kompomo also contributes a lot to the well-being and species-appropriate keeping of horses, cattle and chickens in Switzerland and Germany.

2021

The history of Kompomo is constantly being written in line with the growing needs of our customers: an expansion project is imminent in 2021.

2019

we were able to inaugurate an automatic packing machine for practical smaller bags (volume 70 L or 20 kg), it can handle up to 1800 units per day.

2017 Modernization of the big bag filling system with a capacity increase from 30 to 250 units per day.

2016

Commissioning of a semi-automatic packing machine for small polyethylene bags; Capacity: 300 bags of 100 L or 30 kg per day.

Innovation year 2015

this was the hour of birth of organic forest flooring - an idea that arose from horse keeping. After refining the mixture and successful practical tests, the product was launched on the Swiss market in the first year.

The big bag filling system - a construction for Kompomo - was also put into operation in 2015 . It was used to fill 30 big bags with a volume of 2 m 3 every day. This optimizes storage and makes transports more dynamic.

2014

2 covered storage bunkers were created with a capacity of 400 m 3 each for the appropriate storage of cover chips and compost.

2010

the system was completely renovated for the first time. Investments were not only made in an enlargement, but also in wastewater treatment, a waste water storage facility and the construction of a large storage tent.
