In the entire area of ​​waste disposal, KOMEX currently looks after a large part of the communities in the Voitsberg, Deutschlandsberg and Graz-Umgebung districts. We collect residual waste, biowaste, bulky waste, waste paper, cardboard, waste wood, old clothes, scrap iron, plastic packaging, metal packaging, shrub and green cuttings and hazardous waste, as well as old electrical equipment, and we take care of the recycling and disposal of these materials.

Sustainability is one of the buzzwords of our time and is at the center of everything we do. With our disposal solutions, we ensure a clean environment in western Styria, we conserve valuable resources with our waste recycling and we operate responsibly.

We achieve this by avoiding waste, professional collection and the correct separation of waste and ecological recycling - and we've been doing this since 1984.

We score with competence and decades of experience: In 1984 the company Komex Abfallentsorgungsges.mbH was founded. In 1993, as the regional partner of the ARA, we ensured the rapid implementation of the new packaging ordinance in western Styria.

KOMEX continued to develop: in 1994 we started taking over construction rubble, seven years later we opened the waste material collection center as a takeover point. Since 2004 we have been taking over 70% of the household waste from the Voitsberg district.

In 2005 we became the regional take-over point for the waste electrical and electronic equipment collection for the core municipalities of Voitsberg, Bärnbach, Rosental, Maria Lankowitz and Köflach; since 2008 we have also been taking over all bulky waste from this area.

We are currently taking care of the proper disposal and recycling of waste in numerous western Styrian communities. Whether for households, municipalities or commercial enterprises: Our experience and our know-how make us the ideal contact person.

The KOMEX location with its 15 employees has a total area of ​​15,271 m². Our vehicles transport more than 23,000 tons of waste annually, while we have incoming quantities of around 13,000 tons in the warehouse. In order to be able to cope with this considerable amount over the long term, our fleet is currently equipped with seven ultra-modern special vehicles (2 press vehicles, 2 hook trucks, 1 skip truck, 1 truck with loading board and 1 garbage taxi).
