Kimberley Pipelines was acquired in early 2006 by Ivan Thompson after identifying an opportunity to offer a complete package to service his existing pipeline customers. The company in its original form has been in operation for more than 15 years.The need for clients to have a reliable, comprehensive and total solution for their poly pipe and trenching requirements has become clear in the short time since the acquisition. This need has seen the company build its equipment to a level that offers a complete service for anyone requiring hard rock trenching.Kimberley Pipelines has one of the largest machines of its type in Australia and, as such, can offer a unique solution to large pipeline or cable projects. The machines used are large, purpose built trenchers, designed to be able to cut through hard ground and rock. The result is a perfectly cut trench with straight sides and excavated material piled neatly to the left or right of the trench.Kimberley Pipelines operates in all areas of Australia and, with the addition of new transport equipment, can now offer its services further afield if the need arises.Recent projects with our Strategic Alliance partner UON Pty Ltd include more than 20km of High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) installed at Rio Tinto Hope Down 4 Mine (HD4) and more than 20km for BHP Billiton Mt Whaleback, also Roy Hill and Santos Surat Basin.
