The Field family has owned and operated jewelry stores in Brunswick since the late 1800s. Each generation has enjoyed different aspects of the industry. T. Albert was trained at Tiffany and owned jewelry stores in Brunswick and Kennebunkport, ME. His son, Clarence Field, was a Hamilton trained watchmaker who chose later on in life to sell his jewelry store to Clinton Berrie, a local silversmith and optician, while he pursued a different career. Clarence's son, Eldon Field, purchased back Berrie's watchmaking part of the business into the Field family and greatly expanded the jewelry portion of the store. Berrie's Opticians still serves our community across the street today. At a young age, Keith Field chose goldsmithing as his profession. He purchased his father's store and changed the name to reflect his own line of handmade jewelry.
The first two generations have passed on. Today, Eldon Field enjoys retirement after 45+ years of serving the community. Keith Field G.G., designs and creates his own line of jewelry. His daughter, Hannah Field Simmler, G.G., is our fine jewelry appraiser. Trusted friend, Andrew Brunner, AJP, leads our consultation and repair team on the sales floor.
Education is very important to us. All our leadership and staff are GIA alumni. We love to talk about the latest trends in treatments and manufacturing and how they impact you. Jewelry has a rich history that continues to unfold every day.
