Juell Machine Company more than sixty years ago, in 1954. Eleven years later, Mike Starr started working part-time at Juell as a set-up machinist and joined the company full-time as shop foreman in 1970. In 1974, Elmer retired and Mike bought the company. Juell Machine Company had five employees, several machine tools, 3,100 square feet and two customers. With skill, dedication, and a lot of hard work, Mike and his team set out to build Juell Machine Company into a precision manufacturing company second to none. By 1981, the company had grown to include three CNC machines, twelve employees, and twenty customers. In July of that year, Juell Machine Company outgrew its old facility and moved into its current location with 11,000 square feet of modern manufacturing space in Pomona, California.  The next twenty years saw steady growth at Juell Machine Company. With strong leadership and a talented management team, the company moved into a variety of commercial industries, including medical devices. Juell also expanded its operations to include on-site, full-service assembly and TIG welding to compliment its traditional precision machining services.  Since 1998, Juell has produced complex assemblies for surgical and other applications using advanced, state-of-the-art manufacturing techniques. In July, 2000, Juell Machine Company received approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as a medical devices manufacturer (#2032090). In 2001, Juell consolidated the critical processes for its medical assemblies under one roof, including laser welding, laser marking, precision honing, assembly and testing. Juell Machine Company now controls the entire manufacturing process, from raw material to assembly to final testing, thus enhancing the value of its service for its customers. In 2005, Juell Machine became an ISO 9001:2008 Registered Company.
