JSC "Paper Mill" Spartak "is a modern enterprise that uses the latest technologies and equipment from leading European manufacturers for the manufacture of paper, cardboard and products from them.

At present, Spartak Paper Mill OJSC produces over 50 types of products. The production specializes in the production of the following main types of products:

The Shklov Paper Mill was founded in 1898 by the Russian Minister of Railways Krivoshein and at that time produced cardboard and wrapping paper. In 1918 the factory was nationalized and declared the property of the state. The name "Spartak" was given to the factory by the Gomel Gubsovnarkhoz in 1922. In subsequent years, the factory renewed its production and expanded. By 1940, paper production reached 10,400 tons per year.

During the Great Patriotic War (1941-1944), the factory was completely destroyed, and the equipment was taken to Germany. The restoration of the factory began in 1944 and was completed in 1947 with the commissioning of paper machine # 1. Throughout all subsequent production activities at the factory, production capacities were constantly increased, technical re-equipment was carried out and work was carried out to increase the volume of products. Until 1953, two more paper machines were commissioned.

In 1958, a tissue paper workshop was built, equipped with two paper machines. The production of paper during this period was 12,500 tons per year with the number of employees 928 people. Together with the measures taken in the period from 1960 to 1965 for the development of the enterprise and the modernization of paper-making production, the output of products was continuously increased
