The John Lawrie Group is an established group of international companies. The principal activities of the group are the processing and sale of scrap metals; the trading of new and reusable steel, tubulars and equipment and the provision of services to the oil and gas, construction and utility industries. Also at; Montrose; Evanton (Ross-shire) and Coseley, West Midlands.Since its inception over 80 years ago, John Lawrie Group has grown to specialise in the processing, recycling and sale of scrap metals; the trading of new and reusable steel and the provision of key services to the oil and gas, construction and utility sectors.The largest metal recycler and exporter of processed scrap metal in North and North-East Scotland, John Lawrie Metals operates SEPA-­licensed waste treatment facilities in Aberdeen, Montrose and Invergordon and handles around 200,000 tonnes of metal each year.

Since the early 1990s, John Lawrie Tubulars has traded in all types of steel tubulars. From its headquarters in Aberdeen, Scotland and Houston, USA, the group purchases and supplies new and used tubing, casing, octg, drill pipe, drill collars and related products.

Extensive international experience in supplying new and reconditioned tubulars has led John Lawrie Tubulars to develop a structure which enables the immediate requirements of its clients to be met. The arrangement of the group also provides clients with the necessary technical and logistical support.

The John Lawrie Group is an established group of international companies. The Montrose site is approx 15 acres and is well situated to service the Northeast and Tayside regions of Scotland. It is close to Montrose harbour from where processed scrap is shipped to steelmills for recycling. As well as serving the scrap industry, the site trades in the purchase and sale of new and reusable steel and tubulars, and holds extensive stocks of tubulars, sections and plate. Industries served include the Piling market, agricultural, fabrication, structural and civil engineering throughout the UK, Europe and to international markets.
