Jensen's Excavating has provided residential and commercial site work in Southwestern Michigan since 1975. We offer excavation, grading, drainage, underground utility, and septic installation for both new construction and renovation as well as sand and gravel products.

Serving: South Haven, Bangor, Hartford, Covert, Grand Junction, Glenn, Bloomingdale, Pullman, Coloma, Watervliet, Hagar Shore, Fennville, Saugatuck, Douglas and the surrounding areas.

Our History

Jensen's Excavating was started in 1975 as Richard Jensen Hauling and Excavating in South Haven, MI. In the early days of the company Rick Jensen, along with his wife Sandy, and Don and Rob Mielke worked to grow the company in the South Haven area. The primary focus of the company during those years was on residential construction.

In 1985 the firm was incorporated as Jensen's Excavating. Throughout the 1990's the company grew with more employees and started recycling concrete and asphalt for use as driveway material. Expansion continued in the 2000s with a relocation of the operations to commercial property and adding sales of precast concrete products and construction supplies. In 2020 the company purchased the assets of J&L Orchard Supply to carry-on the distribution of pipe, valves and fittings.

Jensen's Excavating has continued to grow over the years along with the South Haven area. Our focus today is on the local community, just as it was in the beginning, to provide the highest quality of service to exceed the expectations of our customers.
