Jen began a jewelry apprenticeship in Montana in 1996. After years of practice and honing in her personal style in 2002 Jen founded Jen Burrall Designs Jewelry in Portland, Maine.

In 2007 she opened a small studio on Washington Avenue in Portland. Her work attracted the attention of jewelry collectors nationwide for its earthy, elegant nature. She constructs each piece by hand with the utmost care to craftsmanship and detail. Her jewelry designs are inspired by nature, the ocean and her travels around the world. Every piece of JBD jewelry is made of recycled metals and fair trade and conflict free gemstones.

Jen’s wedding and engagement rings cater to couples seeking handmade, unique, and timeless styles. Jen enjoys working online or in person with couples to create specialized pieces along the lines of her personal vision and aesthetic.

Since the fall of 2013 the JBD shop has been located on the beautiful and vibrant East End of Coastal Portland, Maine. You will find Jen there most days working in her studio under a large skylight in the back of her shop. Along with her full line of jewelry is a carefully curated collection of clothing, accessories, baby gifts and home goods.
