In 1956,after a 10 year apprenticeship with long-time Philadelphia jeweler Louis Perloff, Philip P. Debs founded Debs Jewelers and was joined by his much younger brother Eli in 1960. With a strong work ethic deeply rooted with honest values, integrity and always striving to find the best quality for their customer’s dollar, Debs Jewelers quickly established themselves with many a discriminating buyer. In 1987, after graduating from The Gemological Institute of America, Eli’s son Jeffrey joined the family business. Today, owned by Eli and Jeffrey, Debs Jewelers & Gemologists and staff with a combined experience of over 150 years continues the family tradition of personalized customer service, quality and value.
