Centerville, Iowa is the location for our sand cast aluminum foundry operation, Jef-Scot Metal Industries, Inc..  Jef-Scot was named after the grand son’s of the founder in 1972.  The operation was purchased by Tri-State Cast Technologies, Inc in 1978.  Since that time, there have been two additions built onto the original structure giving us nearly three times the space than we had initially.  We also purchased an adjoining property in 2014 nearly doubling the foundry’s footprint and adding additional floor space.

Jef-Scot produces aluminum sand castings from several ounces up to 200 pounds.  The molding methods are greensand and no-bake.  We have in-house heat treat and we ship more than 75% of our castings in the fully machined state.  Our CNC machined castings also include gear hobbing and anodizing.

Our customer base is currently located in the states of Arkansas, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin.  The primary industries served are gas and oil production and transportation, pneumatic valves, agricultural machinery, and food processing equipment.

Jef-Scot has a product line of marine dock cleats.  The S-cleats are in sizes 10”, 12”, and 15”.  There are also straight dock cleats in lengths up to 15”.

The aluminum alloys poured include 319, 355, 356, A356, A206, 535 (Almag35), 713 (Tenzalloy), and 771.

Jef-Scot Metal also works with its related company, Affiliated Global Technologies, to provide customers with other molded metal materials such as stainless steel investment castings, steel forgings, gray and ductile iron castings, and aluminum alloys die cast, investment cast, and permanent molded parts.
