J.C. Jewelers is an independent, family owned and operated jewelry store located in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. We have been designing, creating, and selling fine jewelry and custom pieces for over 25 years, and we continue to find endless inspiration in the mountains and the rugged beauty of our natural surroundings. Our distinctly western storefront (a historical log cabin built by legendary local painter, Archie Teater) houses an array of contemporary handcrafted originals and artisan-quality designs. We pride ourselves in being one of Jackson’s most celebrated jewelry stores and the local’s choice for Teton jewelry, elk ivory, and custom bridal.
Jeter and Jan Case, husband and wife and high-school sweethearts, form the dynamic partnership behind J.C. Jewelers. In a true meeting of fate and fortune, Jeter discovered his passion for jewelry-making after Jan (already a jewelry aficionado) introduced him to a master jeweler.
The couple both attended school at the Gemological Institute of America in California. Jeter received his degree in jewelry design while Jan became a graduate gemologist and an American Gem Society Certified Gemologist Appraiser. Of the select group of people who have earned these credentials, Jan is recognized as one of the top in the nation. J.C. Jewelers was established in 1988 with just one case of jewelry! Although the inventory has grown and much has changed, the Cases stick to their original values: integrity, customer service, and excellence.
Artist and jeweler, Jeter Case, draws inspiration from the incredible western landscape and the powerful proximity of Grand Teton National Park and neighboring Yellowstone. As an artist he strives to emulate the innovation and virtuosity of the great jewelers of the Art Deco period. His style is classic and playful with a twist of modern influence.
Jeter’s designs incorporate elements of nature, architecture, and even machinery in dynamic, sophisticated, and unexpected ways. He has spent years perfecting his craft and has gained recognition as a master jeweler specializing in bridal and custom pieces. His jewelry has travelled the globe and is worn by people worldwide. Jeter creates pieces that are meant to be worn and handed down for generations. The use of noble metals and precious stones ensure the durable and lasting quality of his pieces. A true passion for jewelry design is palpable in every piece that he creates.
Jeter Case creates custom jewelry in platinum and gold. From the first conversation to the finishing touches, we strive for transparency and excellence in our custom design services, making the process a delightful and unique experience. Taking into account our clients’ personality, lifestyle, and individual tastes; Jeter creates pieces that reflect the style of the wearer and the heart and ingenuity of the creator.
Jeter has crafted everything from bold contemporary wedding rings to petite bands to compliment estate pieces. The notable pieces in his portfolio include a very large, flawless diamond ring in the Art Deco style and a large gem quality padparadschah sapphire set in a diamond encrusted ring.
