Inking About Africa is 100% non-profit run and registered with HMRC. 

Every printer cartridge recycled really will make a difference and every penny raised will make it to those who need it. Just one recycled printer cartridge is enough to supply a child with enough pens/pencils for a whole year and some printer cartridges can raise enough for a whole school uniform. 

A UK free post service is provided so it will cost nothing to donate your empty ink cartridges.

Mark Hickie and Faye Mcsloy founded Inking About Africa who have been working in the Not for Profit trade for many years. Having previously worked for charity fund raising organisations, Mark Hickie is more than able to run the Charity. Along with this Inking About Africa also has other trustees volunteering for the charity.

The organisation provides people and businesses with a professional and easy to use recycling scheme. The expert staff help supporters help Africa from recycling empty printer cartridges. The service is intended to help support child education in The Gambia.

With the penny pinching financial climate we are currently in the idea behind Inking About Africa was to raise funds in a way that would allow people to support a charity with no cost. So by using our Freepost service it’s actually free and will cost nothing to help support child education in The Gambia.

Along with helping the children of The Gambia our recycling service is also providing the UK with an environmental solution to reducing landfill sites.

Millions of ink and toner cartridges are clogging up the UK landfill sites. It is estimated that over 31 million cartridges will go to landfill every year, with many of these taking up to 1000 years to decompose.

If these were all recycled through Inking About Africa, this would enable free schooling to every child in The Gambia!!

Situated in Stowmarket Suffolk, Inking About Africa started out as a recycling charity and soon created a great reputation for the work it was achieving. Whether you live in Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex or Scotland, Inking About Africa is able to provide you with a scheme to recycle inkjets, toners and mobile phones for this UK charity.

The aim of this charity is to make a difference and help support child education in one of Africa’s most poorest countries. To help support the schools and children in the rural areas of The Gambia, historically these rural areas have received little or no help from the outside world. Inking About Africa strongly believes that education is the key to success in Africa with many proven facts on this.
