We are a family company born in Abruzzo in 1952 which has now become a reference reality for the production of corrugated cardboard packaging and boxes in Italy.

A look into the past

Our story begins in 1952 on the initiative of Loreto Lancia who saw corrugated cardboard as the material of the future for the creation of packaging boxes that are easy to transport, manageable, resistant and that would replace the more common wooden boxes.

Thus was born the ICO Industria Corrugated Cardboard.

A simple idea but which has led us today, through constant growth and openness to innovation, to be a family of over 250 people, with offices and factories distributed in central and southern Italy. 

Love for our land, people's trust and passion for doing are the values ​​that have always accompanied us.

1952

Foundation year

Loreto Lancia founds the ICO with an innovative idea: to create corrugated cardboard boxes.

70's

Corrugator and Paper Mill Installation

ICO grows and acquires the first corrugating machine and the first paper mill. The sensitivity towards respect for the environment was already perceived in those years.

90's

Machine fleet expansion

The Jumbo slotter TCY, the Simon casemaker , and the Bobst 1600 die- cutter arrive in ICO .

The corrugator is upgraded with a Fosber cutter .

The internal lay-out is improved with automated roller conveyors, belts and shuttles.

1999 2004

Acquisition of the Foggia plant

ICO specializes in the production of crates for fruit and vegetables and acquires the Foggia plant.

The new Casemaker Massenzana arrives

2005

Pianella plant opening (PE)

The Fisher business unit is acquired , the plant is further upgraded.

New acquisitions: Casemaker Martin 618 and Bobst 2000 with Nike 6-color printer online .

2013

Kimberly - Clark Acquisition

Kimberly-Clark 's Alanno plant is acquired, where tissue paper, the so-called TAD , is produced . A new company division is born: ICO TISSUE . ICO opens its market to Europe, USA, America, Asia, Africa.

2018

Quantum Installation 2

The Quantum 2 corrugator is installed in Pianella in Pianella, a machine for the production of corrugated cardboard with highly advanced technology.

2019

HP C500 Page Wide Installation

The HP C500 Pagewide Digital Printer is here. ICO opens up to the new market of paper converting and communication with a high image potential.
