The company IKV Innovative Kunststoffveredelung GmbH is a medium-sized company located in the industrial park of the city of Premnitz, about an hour (70 km) west of Berlin.

The spacious and environmentally friendly Premnitz industrial location has convenient transport links by road, rail and water.

The history of the IKV began with the development of an innovative technology for processing soot in black masterbatch, originally based on the polymer carriers PET and PBT. Carbon black is a difficult raw material to control because it forms complex structures such as agglomerates and aggregates. With our innovative and outstanding technology, we coat every single soot particle with polymer and thus achieve a uniform dispersion of the soot in the masterbatch and prevent the degradation process of the polymer, all without additives such as dispersion aids, waxes or copolymers.

Our core products are especially suitable for fine denier / Dtex polyester fibers, for mono and multifilaments, BCF carpet yarns and spunbonded fabrics. But we also produce high quality standard types for other applications such as injection molding or film production.

Over the past few years we have continuously expanded our product range to include other types of polymers such as polyester, PET, PBT, polyamide 6, polypropylene, LDPE and HDPE. Now that we have mastered the production of black and colored masterbatches excellently, we are continuing to develop our other specialties, such as extremely flame-retardant or UV-stabilizing masterbatches and chips, but also single pigment colors and tailor-made colors.

We are continuously adding more colors and other polymers to our product range. We maintain close cooperation with our customers and manufacture products according to their specifications and samples. Our technologists are always ready to help with special changes or settings, to provide technical support and to meet special requirements.
