HydroDyne, Inc. was founded in 1967 by Chris Liossis, my father. After graduating from Ohio University with a B.S. in Chemistry, my father worked at Babcock & Wilcox Company as a Nuclear and Results Engineer and at Griscom Russell Company in service management and field engineering. In these positions he gained extensive experience in desalination processes and heat transfer technology. He also developed a pressurizer for nuclear power systems, an improved pollution control system, and a stack emission testing system utilized for ASME particulate sampling. My father founded HydroDyne to expand upon his ability to design, manufacture, repair, and service custom-designed desalination units, multi-stage flash systems, feedwater heaters, and shell and tube and air-cooled heat transfer equipment. HydroDyne continued to provide these products and services for the next two decades. In 1990, my father retired and I took over ownership and operation of the business. Since then, we have expanded to provide custom-designed products for the power generation, petrochemical, oil & gas, and industrial industries. Our field service team has also grown to support the needs of our customers. We have always, however, held true to my father's core philosophy that "People are our Greatest Asset," and are extremely proud of our team, their experience, innovativeness, and commitment to our customers. These qualities have allowed HydroDyne to become a recognized and reliable resource to the industries we serve.
