In 2012 Casier Recycling took over the company Huughe Metalen from the brothers Patrick and Thierry Huughe. This yard, located in the industrial zone along the Wiedauwkaai in Ghent, was immediately expanded into a fully-fledged and modern scrap yard by completely hardening the site, installing a 60-ton weighbridge and building an administrative unit.
In addition to the reception of the scrap waste of the existing clientele of the family business Huughe metals, this yard will be further developed as a regional hub for the collection of scrap from either waste processors or local scrap dealers and this yard will strengthen the logistics chain of the Casier group and optimize.
