In 1904- James A. Diddle, the company founder, opened the doors to Huntington Boiler Works in a shop located on 11th Street on the banks of the Ohio River in Huntington, WV.
1929-The Great Depression begins and we learn a great deal about what it means to survive in the toughest of economic conditions. This time period helped instill the core values that have helped make this company great.
1937-The Ohio River flood of 1937. With the water reaching the highest levels in the cities history, we were forced to move to our current location on 100 Third Ave Huntington, WV 25701. 2004-When a company reaches the century mark, there is cause for celebration.
In 2004, we celebrated 100 years. From the horse and buggy days, through the Great Depression, the 1937 Ohio River flood and two World Wars, the employees of Huntington Steel witnessed the full breadth of the 20th Century.
