Hughes Health & Safety is a progressive company offering a personalised service to both major companies and local small business.  We can tailor safety management systems and manuals to the specific requirements of each business.Hughes Health and Safety was formed in 1997 because Warren Hughes saw a need to offer a more personalised safety service to local and national companies alike.  Warren has been able to use his extensive experience in the public and private sectors to tailor cost effective safety solutions for all businesses without breaking the bank.Warren was a District Inspector with the Workplace Health and Safety Queensland for 10 years and is a  qualified Fitter & Turner, First Class Marine Engineer with a Graduate Diploma in Management (OHS).  Being a small businessman himself,  Warren is well aware of the economic and time constraints facing small businesses.Warren Hughes has a mechanical background as Fitter & Turner, a Senior Marine Engineer and Machinery Inspector. These provided him with the ability to discuss and solve mechanical safety issues such as machinery guarding, safe to operate standards and procedures, as well as the Australian Standards associated with the design, construction, care and maintenance of plant and equipment.

Warrens qualification include a Graduate Diploma in OHS Management (1997), an accreditation as a Principal Auditor (2009), an accreditation as a PQC Auditor with Project Services/Housing and Public Works (2004).Warren career history includes the practical experience of 10 years as the District Inspector with Workplace Health and Safety Queensland and 17 years as a self-employed Workplace Health and Safety Consultant with the majority of his work in the commercial construction industry.
