Our Story

• In 1972, Hoover brothers founded Hoover Building Systems on a 3-acre site in Lexington, SC.
• In 1984, Hoover moved to its present 10-acre facility, 2 miles south of Lexington, SC on Old Two Notch Road. The extra space enabled Hoover to expand the business to include the wholesale and retail sales of post-frame components. Hoover only sells materials that relate directly to post-frame construction such as steel, trim, flashings, insulation and related materials, along with complete post-frame kits to the do-it-yourselfers and small contractors.
• In 1987, Hoover opened its own truss manufacturing plant to satisfy its own requirements. Today, the truss retailing business has grown into an entirely separate division of the company. Hoover sells residential and commercial trusses to outside customers.
• Hoover has a second branch office in Greer, SC that has its own office staff, sales staff and erection crews
• Hoover has a complete staff to accommodate our customer's needs and our own fleet of equipment to expedite the work.
• Hoover Buildings Systems, Inc. has developed a reputation for quality and integrity in every aspect of its business. Hoover Building Systems, Inc. is a licensed general contractor that is fully insured.
