Hoogeboom Raalte has been a family business since 1935. Gerhard Hoogeboom started in the agricultural sector in the 1930s. His son Marinus expanded the company with activities in contracting work, recycling and rental. Hoogeboom is now managed by the sons of Marinus, Gert and Jurgen. The company currently employs fifty people.
As a company, you can only sustain it over such a long period if customers express their lasting confidence in you. Customer loyalty has therefore been a very important factor in the history of the Hoogeboom family business. And it still is.
Gerhard Hoogeboom
Gerhard Hoogeboom started agricultural mechanization in 1935. At the time, the grandfather of the current management was involved in the initiative of farmers at Schoonheten to jointly purchase machines to work the land. The Hoogeboom family business, a contracting company with shovels and cranes, was born from this equipment association. Before the 1930s it was a large company with work throughout the municipality of Raalte. Due to expansion, the company moved from Schoonheten to the Stobbenbroekerweg, where the company is still located today.
Marinus Hoogeboom
Marinus, Gerhard's son and father of the current management, built an earth-moving company on Stobbenbroekerweg. That company grew steadily, partly due to the purchase of a rubble crusher. That was the start of the recycling activities.
Gert and Jurgen Hoogeboom
Hoogeboom is currently managed by the sons of Marinus, Gert and Jurgen. Hoogeboom is now a leading company with approximately sixty experienced employees and modern and specialist machinery. Hoogeboom is now active in demolition work, asbestos remediation, earthmoving, paving, water drainage, well dewatering and the installation of sheet piling. The company is also nationally active as a certified asbestos remover.
Mission and vision
In addition to contracting earth, road and hydraulic engineering works, Hoogeboom is also active in recycling and rental of machines and containers. Thanks to this total package and our many years of experience, we can fully take care of every assignment for you.
Our committed and professional employees are willing to work hard and do everything they can to realize your wishes. We think along with you about the most optimal implementation and coordinate each project from start to finish. Your concerns are in good hands with us, because after the completion of a project we want to be proud of the end result together with you and close it in a pleasant way.
Circular economy
Hoogeboom is an advocate of a circular economy. This means, among other things, that we reuse the materials released during demolition work as much as possible in their original function. To increase the sustainable effect of this, we prefer to use these materials at a short distance from the demolition site. We are also an active participant in the Circular Economy Challenge. This Rabobank initiative supports companies in meeting the national requirement of 50% circular demolition in 2030 and 100% circular demolition in 2050.
Corporate Social Responsibility
Hoogeboom considers corporate social responsibility very important. That is why we offer a training program to young people and about 5 to 10% of our employees that falls under the so-called target group register (formerly Wajong). We also sponsor various associations.
Future vision
In the coming period, we will further improve our modern company by, among other things, expanding automation, the further roll-out of GPS and the expansion of circular working. We want to continue to realize beautiful works, together with our customers and our staff. In doing so, we aim for an annual turnover of around 10 million and with a maximum of 60 employees, we want to maintain and - where necessary - strengthen the short lines and mutual ties within our staff.
