Hong Kong Lead Acid Battery Recycling Centre (the “Centre”); operated by SSK Metal Limited, will be built on a plot area of ten thousand square meters (10,000m2) in EcoPark, Tuen Mun, New Territories. The Centre will be the only fully integrated facility in Hong Kong that provides collection, treatment and final disposal by recycling up to 95% of a used lead acid battery into reusable products. It is designed and operated according to very stringent international standards on environmental and safety requirements. EcoPark The Centre is mandated and licensed by Hong Kong Environmental Protection Department at EcoPark for this purpose. EcoPark is a Designated Project under the Environmental Impact Assessment Ordinance (EIAO) regulated by Environmental Protection Department; dedicated to disposal of chemical, industrial or special waste.
