In 1947 Francisco Arnau Comas founded Hlaturas Arnau in the same warehouse where it still remains in the street Germans Farguell in Sabadell. City has been consolidated as one of the leading producers of wool in the 20th century and Hilaturas Arnau com made it one of his major spinning, coming to manufacture yarns of high quality for big brands like Burberry.

At the beginning of the new millennium, Hilaturas Arnau passes into the hands of the 3rd generation of the family Arnau, continuing uninterrupted activity, with important developments:

New fibers are introduced such as recycled PARA-ARAMID, vests anti-bullet disused, for the production of yarns and technical fabrics for industrial use and protection. These fabrics are of high tenacity (anti-cut) and are mixed with other fibers like PREOX to be also fireproof. META-ARAMID, PREOX, PBI, MODACRYLIC, PARA-ARAMID, UHMWPE, ARCELON, NEXYLON, GRILLON, ROHOVYL... are other Recycled technical fibers that we use in our textiles.

New Vegan, Natural YARNS & FABRICS are introduced, Textile of the future, mixing different natural and biodegradable fibers: BAMBOO, CORN, HEMP, KAPOK, PINEAPPLE, MINT, RAMIE, ALOEVERA, SOYA, ROSE, LOTUS...100% vegan, sustainable & biodegradable natural fibers.

Entry into new geographical markets as France, Portugal, Italy, United Kingdom and Germany...
