Hercules Steel Company, Inc. was founded by Amos Morehead Stack and Ben Huske in January of 1954. The original plant was located on South King St. in Fayetteville, NC. The partnership was incorporated in 1955. Since opening it doors, Hercules Steel has evolved from a small steel fabricator into one of the most highly respected companies in the industry. Its efficient operation and commitment to excellence have enabled Hercules to service the steel fabrication needs of several Mid-Atlantic States.

Hercules Steel moved to its present location on Country Club Drive in August of 1964. The continuing growth of the Fayetteville operation, combined with that of the Jarratt, Virginia plant, acquired in the 1968 acquisition of Bracken Steel Company in Sanford, N. C. , enables Hercules to provide its customers with top quality products and service at some of the industry's most competitive prices.

One aspect of Hercules' operation that sets it apart from other fabricators is the wide range of projects it undertakes. From large, complex structures others are reluctant to tackle, to everyday projects for the small shop operator or home craftsman; call Hercules first. At Hercules Steel safety is always number one. We are very proud of our safety record. Our commitment to safety has made it possible for Hercules to receive numerous safety awards from the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (South Atlantic Division, Savannah District). We have received these awards for consistently maintaining superior safety and quality assurance in the operation of Fabricated Structural Steel and successfully meeting the quality certification standards for Category II - Complex Steel Building Structures from AISC. We have been AISC Certified for over 15 years.
