Serving the industry since 1920, HEISLER Industries started out as HEISLER Machine & Tool Company, specializing in providing high quality contract machining, welding and assembly of industrial components. HEISLER’s strong reputation for precision quality soon drew the attention of many businesses seeking such expertise to manufacture single and multi-purpose production machines. As the second generation, Ray and Gus Heisler, took ownership, HEISLER was contacted by the U.S. Government to manufacture aeronautical parts and equipment. These specialty products included nickel steel alloy combustion chambers, exhaust cones for rocket engines, a space capsule base, stainless steel plates for use in nuclear reactors, and test fixtures. HEISLER also built machines for the textile industry, which collated folded, and inserted dress patterns into retail packages. In the early 1960’s HEISLER was asked to manufacture equipment to insert preformed metal handles onto paint cans. During the design and manufacturing process, an innovative concept of automatically feeding wire from a spool into a machine and then cutting, forming, and inserting the handle directly onto the can developed. Ray and Gus felt this technology was essential to efficient paint packaging. They patented and began marketing the Bail-O-Matic machine. The Bail-O-Matic has revolutionized packaging in the paint industry. HEISLER has manufactured almost 900 bailers since the machine’s inception in 1963. The market’s demand for paint and the manufacturer’s need for automated equipment continued to grow. Companies sought out and utilized the decades of industry-wide knowledge within HEISLER’s organization to build automatic case and tray packers, pail denesters, lid placing and closing machines, and case, pail, and drum palletizers. Our machines are found worldwide and in virtually all industries that package products into round, square, F-style containers, cans, pails, drums, cases, and trays. Today, HEISLER Industries, Inc. proudly remains a family-owned business. Third generation brothers, Rick and Ron Heisler, provide a hands-on management team, directing a staff of more than 50 employees. The company specializes in offering state- of-the-art packaging automation and system integration services for the paint, petroleum, chemical, food, gypsum and other industries.
