We are a family-run business established by the great, great, great grandfather of the current owner, Grant Scott. We now trade as the leading local choice for waste disposal and skip hire in Tadworth but our business is steeped in history and tradition. Originally located in the Elephant and Castle area of London and trading under the name of W Hawkins LTD, much of the work completed by the early business was carried out on a ‘wait and load’ basis with the use of a horse and cart.

W Hawkins LTD hit the ground running and was a major contributor to waste clearance during the development of the London Underground Northern Line that runs from Morden through to the Elephant and Castle. The business developed quickly and worked with major clients on Fleet Street, removing waste from the offices and works of established businesses. Originally carrying out work for Whitefriars Glass, W Hawkins LTD was kept on as waste management experts when the Daily Mail Newspaper Group moved into the Whitefriars Glass premises in 1928. The change of business name occurred to incorporate father, son and son-in-law partnerships. Today, W Hawkins LTD trades as Hawkins and Scott Ltd. Our business has adapted to growing waste and environmental demands to provide a full range of waste disposal services and skip hire in Surrey. We undertake all waste removal with the future of our planet firmly in mind. Despite our significant growth, we’re still small enough to care but definitely large enough to cope!
