Harz-Humus Recycling GmbH is a medium-sized company in the field of recovery and recycling based in Ditfurt in the northern Harz foreland. It was founded in 1991 and employs around 60 people.

As a waste management company (according to § 56 KrWG) we process organic waste in 23 officially approved composting plants in the districts of Harz , Börde and the Salzlandkreis to compost in compliance with the strict quality requirements of the Biowaste Ordinance (BioabfV), the Fertilizer Ordinance (DüV) and the Fertilizer Ordinance (DüMV). In addition, we are voluntarily subject to additional quality criteria within the framework of the Society for Quality Assurance in Agricultural Waste Utilization ( QLA , QLA quality mark), the Federal Compost Quality Association ( BGK, RAL quality assurance) and the association for quality assurance of fertilizers and substrates ( Vqsd ). In addition to the composting plants, we have 5 compost storage facilities for the intermediate storage of compost.

We mainly compost biodegradable waste (garden and park waste / green waste), kitchen and canteen waste, mixed municipal waste / organic waste bin, sludge from the treatment of municipal wastewater / sewage sludge, waste from forestry) and much more through open rent composting . In addition, we offer technical services such as shredding and sieving work and individual transport services in connection with waste recycling . We also offer a range of special soils (substrates) and bark mulch .

We have a well-equipped fleet of vehicles and machinery available for our activities, as well as an in-house workshop that ensures rapid repair and maintenance of our machines and vehicles, and a construction team that is responsible for the construction, repair and maintenance of our composting plants.
