Founded in 1974, Goldsmith Jewelers, Inc. began primarily as a jewelry manufacturer, servicing retail jewelers throughout Ohio. We have grown into a fine jewelry retail store specializing in diamond engagement rings. The jewelry repair center does diamond setting, ring remounting, jewelry restyling, ring sizing, rhodium plating, jewelry refinishing and many other types of jewelry repairs all done on site. JOSEF, FOUNDER, EUROPEAN TRAINED GOLDSMITH, AND DIAMOND SETTER has been in the jewelry field since 1947. He came to Cleveland in 1953 and began working for Samual Deutsch. Josef is also a U.S. Army Veteran. After serving his military obligation, Josef worked for some of downtown Cleveland’s finest jewelers. He founded Goldsmith Jewelers Inc. in 1974. Since 1977 Josef has studied Gemology through the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) earning a Diamond Grading and Evaluation Certificate in 1979 and a Colored Stone Grading, Evaluation and Identification Certificate in 1983.
KURT, CERTIFIED GEMOLOGIST (AGS), GRADUATED GEMOLOGIST (GIA) Kurt has been in the jewelry field since 1982. He holds the Title of Certified Gemologist from the American Gem Society (AGS). Annual testing on the latest developments in gemology and in the field of jewelry is required to retain certification with the American Gem Society (AGS). The American Gem Society is located in Las Vegas, Nevada. Kurt also holds the title of Graduated Gemologist from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). The GIA is the world’s foremost authority in gemology, diamond grading, and gemological research. The GIA are the creators of the 4 C’s in diamond grading. The GIA is located in Carlsbad, California.
TINA, CERTIFIED SALES ASSOCIATE Tina has been with Goldsmith jewelers since 2004. In December 2007, Tina received a certificate from the American Gem Society as a Certified Sales Associate. She successfully completed a course of study and a final examination about jewelry and the jewelry industry. The course included product knowledge of diamonds, colored gems, pearls, watches, and precious metals as well as training in business principles, operations, ethics, security, and customer service. Annual testing on the latest developments in the jewelry industry is required to retain certification through the American Gem Society (AGS). Tina also performs in store pearl and bead restringing, a service we provide to our customers.
