Gerace Construction Company was established in June of 1963, as a single proprietorship by Francis E. Gerace. Francis E. Gerace had been employed in the construction industry in one capacity or another for twenty years, and had served four years in the U.S. Navy. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering and is also a Registered Engineer in the State of Michigan in the Civil Engineering Discipline.
The first construction contract awarded to Gerace Construction was for the construction of a Technical Education Facility at Delta College, University Center, Michigan. The contract amount was $81,000, which represented half of the volume of work performed in that first year.
The Company was incorporated in April of 1964 and has maintained a steady growth pattern throughout the subsequent years. This phenomenal success came due largely in part to a company committed to client service, quality, and meeting deadlines.
In 2006, Gerace Construction was contracted by a national retail corporation to inspect and make emergency structural repairs in over 800 locations around the country. Gerace provided over 600 iron workers and 120 supervisors to complete the project. Gerace responded within 24 hours, when required, to any of the locations in the United States. Gerace Construction will continue to serve multiple markets while providing exceptional service and solutions.
