Grandpa Koot What are we doing?

We are engaged in the purchase and sale of all types of metals, paper, all types of machines and clothing.

We cater for a large part of our clientele in the Zoetermeer region.

We value good agreements and fast service, we collect everything by appointment or on demand.

We disassemble as much as possible all appliances that contain metals such as lead, aluminum, copper, brass, iron and stainless steel that are disposed of separately.

As a company, we purchase metals that are sorted in quality and cut (cut into small pieces).

The material can be delivered to us in any quantity.

We weigh all materials received and, if necessary, settle cash at daily prices depending on the market situation.

We process and sort cords, cables and electronic equipment.

We have containers for rent of 5 cubic meters. and larger to be able to collect the material in your company.

We transport everything by container on trucks with a loading crane and orange peel grab.

We also provide transport to wholesalers and from our clients.

We accompany every transport with a PMV guidance form provided with a waste flow number for your environmental administration and issue a declaration of destruction for your archives.

History

From 1959 we have built an impressive company. Grandpa Jo Koot started it up. He started with a cargo bike. Soon his son Leo joined and the work was done with a VW bus. A few years later, Leo's brother Ton also joined the business. Paper, iron, rags and metals were then collected from all over the area in a somewhat larger truck. Later, paper bins were placed at shopping centers and emptied by the Koot brothers. Eventually Leo's son Marco also joined the family business.

In 2003 the company was forced to move. It now has a beautiful large building at Industrieweg 5B in Zoetermeer. Unfortunately, due to the death of Ton and a little later Leo in 2012, the company continues alone with Leo's son Marco. Today it is an important company because the environment has been given such a high priority. We are very big and good at this, recycling is our keyword. We think that's important in this throw-away society.
