In 2009, Gas Clip Technologies was founded with the goal of revolutionizing portable gas detectors. We created portable gas detectors with a difference. Consider our latest innovation, the Multi Gas Clip (MGC). It’s the only portable gas detector with a battery life that can last months instead of hours. In fact, the MGC can go a full 2 months without a charge even without ever being turned off.
The MGC follows in the footsteps of our Single Gas Clip (SGC) Plus. You can put these portable gas detectors into hibernate mode when they’re not in use so you can extend the life of the units. Even our SGC Dock and MGC Dock portable or wall mountable docking station are a breakthrough. It lets you test 4 portable gas detectors at a time instead of one by one by one by one. That saves time and reduces testing gas.

For example, our MGC uses a low power photometric technology to detect combustible gases (LEL). Instead of draining the battery with pellistor technology that’s been around since the 1950s, the MGC uses a low power diode infrared source, which conserves power.

Products
Gas Clip Technologies (GCT) offers two families of portable gas detectors – The Single Gas Clip Family and the Multi Gas Clip Family.
Our Single Gas Clip Family includes the Single Gas Clip (SGC) and the Single Gas Clip Plus (SGC Plus). The SGC comes in three different models to detect three different types of gases (O2, CO or H2S). The SGC Plus has the same benefits as the SGC, except it has the unique characteristic of being able to “hibernate” to extend the life of your detector. The SGC Family line is certified intrinsically safe for use in Class I, Division 1, Groups A, B, C and D areas in North America via a National Recognized Testing Laboratory -ETL (UL-913 & CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 157); to the ATEX standard, via Intertek, as intrinsically safe to classification II 1G (zone 0) Ex ia IIC T4; and to the IECEX standard as intrinsically safe to classification II 1G (zone 0) Ex ia IIC T4. We are also certified for Ingress Protection (IP) level 66/67 and comply with EMC directives 89/336/EEC.
Our Multi Gas Clip Family includes the Multi Gas Clip with infrared sensor (MGC-IR) and the Multi Gas Clip with Pellistor sensor (MGC-P). The MGC Family line is certified in Class 1 Div 1 Groups A, B, C and D C22.2 No. 157 & C22.2 No. 152 (UL 913) II 1 G, Ex ia IIC T4 Ga (ATEX pending). The MGC Family line is also certified for Ingress Protection (IP) level 66/67.
The detectors are designed to withstand harsh conditions and challenging environments. Our products are designed, tested and certified to the highest performance standards in the industry. At the same time, our products provide a robust amount of documentation for gas exposures, instrument use and testing data. We have a strong warranty that includes expedited replacement should you encounter any problems during the operating life of the monitor.
