As a lifetime resident of Routt County, Gary Cruson has a close affinity to the environment and wildlife of the area. Because of this interest, he questioned the dumping of toxic electronic waste in the landfills, and its effect on the environment. Why couldn’t some of this equipment be reused? As a result of his concern, he has become affiliated with Goodwill Industries Imagine and other not-for profit organizations to refurbish computers and other electronics. A by-product of the recycling program is the donation of outdated, but working computers, to those who can not afford them.The environment we protect belongs to our children. Technology is never going away, however it can be safer. The way we deal with our used Computers, Laptops, Monitors, TVs, Stereos, can be safer. That is what G&S is all about. The dangers posed by the indiscriminate trashing of electrical equipment are real. Toxic waste is dangerous to the environment, dangerous to the public and dangerous to the bottom line. Laws demand that we properly dispose of our high-tech gear. Recycling the right way is no longer a matter of choice.We will act against businesses that fail to protect their data… She understands that most small businesses cannot be expected to hire a full time privacy specialist but adds that all businesses must be able to show they have a security plan in place. “We’re not looking for a perfect system.
