The company Fritz Aquila , founded in 1900, is one of the oldest family-owned German trading companies. For four generations it has been passed directly from father to his children and has survived two world wars and several economic crises.
The Aquila family came from Italy via Nuremberg to Munich at the end of the 19th century and opened an iron and coal trade there in the Sendling district. Fritz Aquila, the founder's grandson and grandfather of the current owner, took over the business in mid-1935. He was drafted in 1941 and did not return from captivity until 1949. In a few years he had rebuilt the trade. Initially with an iron will and muscle power in Implerstraße in Sendling and since 1976 with the most modern equipment at the company's current location, in Dachauerstraße in Moosach.
Werner Aquila jun., Sole owner of the company since 1996, has continued the tradition. With his two children, he enjoys the trust of his long-standing customers. Experience, expertise and reliability have been the hallmarks of the family and the company for decades.
