On Friday, December 6, 2013, Frederick Steel, the Structural Steel Division of Byer Steel Group of Cincinnati, Ohio, was acquired by Benjamin Steel Company of Springfield, Ohio. Byer Steel will continue to own and operate the rebar mill, rebar sales and fabrication, and metal scrap divisions.
