The Friedrich Frank company was founded in 1948 as a company for the collection of scrap, "rags" (old textiles) and furs. In the post-war period, many a combat aircraft and military vehicles were scrapped by grandfather Friedrich Frank. He was also involved as a committee chairman in the Styrian Chamber of Commerce. The Ring of Honor of the Republic of Austria was awarded to him for services in the resistance struggle.
In the meantime, the company was continued by Mrs. Margarethe Frank and in 1996 the grandchildren Allan and Friedrich Frank took over.
In 2005 the company Frank Metall Recycling und Handels GmbH was founded, which oversees small and large projects such as the demolition of tank farms, railway bridges and factories.
