Overview and History of Folsom
In 1968, Hugh Folsom launched H.A. Folsom Associates with its first product line American Standard and the conviction that customers needed top quality products and service. Folsom quickly added other important lines such as Kewanee boilers and Metalbestos stacks. As business increased, the company was incorporated in 1970, and became a dominant force in the HVAC business.
As the company’s reputation became established and grew, so too did Folsom’s desire to spread his mission of service and quality into other markets. Folsom entered the Industrial and Municipal Wastewater markets with the addition of Roots blowers, Allis-Chalmers pumps and Sullair compressors as the major players.
In the late 1980’s Folsom began to focus on the mining and industrial markets as its primary targets; with the municipal wastewater and wet side commercial as secondary markets. Three distinct product groups were developed to support these markets: Fluid Handling Equipment consisting of pumps, mechanical seals and mixers; Air Handling Equipment consisting of compressors, blowers, dryers and fans; Heat Transfer Equipment consisting of boilers, feed systems, deaerators and heat exchangers.
