Our company was founded in 1991 and has existed in its current configuration since August 17, 1993.

In addition to film production, the production spectrum at that time also included the manufacture of PE winding cores and the processing of sorted PE waste into classified recyclates.

However, the focus was placed on film production at an early stage. The production systems for the winding cores and the recycling machines were outsourced in 1998.

History

The development of our company

The company FOLIEtec Kunststoffwerk AG was founded in 1991 as "Foliepack" in Northern Thuringia.

In 2002 the name was changed to FOLIEtec Kunststoffwerk AG. The renaming served to clarify the technical direction of the company. On modern, process-controlled mono- and co-extrusion lines, the capacity has been increased from approx. 8,000 tons of PE film pa to around 14,000 tons of PE film pa today.

The proportion of multilayer films is now over 70%. To support quality assurance, FOLIEtec uses the latest technologies in the field of process data acquisition, analysis and documentation. The highest possible quality standard forms the basis for application technology, product development, use of raw materials, production parameters, laboratory tests and processing instructions.
All employees have committed themselves to quality throughout the entire production process. All orders can be traced and reproduced at any time. Adherence to the recipe is our top priority.

In the years 2007 to 2009 further investments were made. The standard thus created enabled certification according to ISO 9001 and also according to BRC / HACCP.
