My jump into the cold water

“Either you swim or you go under. It's that simple. ”I thought to myself when my father-in-law Theo Floßdorf had my name entered in the commercial register as managing director.

Dietmar Floßdorf GmbH had been encapsulated by Floßdorf GmbH two years earlier , as its dimensions went beyond any framework. The quality of the work should not suffer from the flood of orders.

It gave me the opportunity to freely decide, implement my own ideas, create a trustworthy basis in everyday operations ...

And should I now take responsibility for Floßdorf GmbH? Up to that point I was employed as a technical manager, but at the time I really had no idea about the duties of a managing director. Only one thing quickly became clear to me: You don't want to go under.

The idea of ​​self-employment appealed to me as a young man. Now I was finally there. He gave me the opportunity to freely decide, to implement my own ideas, to create a trustworthy basis in day-to-day operations and to simply do well.

Those were bloody big footsteps.

Theo Floßdorf took over the over-indebted business of his father Josef Floßdorf. Paying off the debts made building up the company very difficult. It was hard work for him and his wife to build up, but they overcame this difficult time. Those were bloody big footsteps.

So I learned what it takes. Among other things, I worked my way through the IHK Koblenz to become an industrial specialist and from 2009 through the private University of Applied Sciences North Hesse to a degree in business administration (FH). In this way I was able to acquire the knowledge of what constitutes the managing director I wanted to be.

Over the years I have taken part in various certification training courses in order to maintain the standards of our waste management company and to give our customers the security: With us you dispose of properly.

Since the beginning, my focus has been on the further development of the company, always trying new things and designing our operations and processes in such a way that we make it easy for our customers. In the big world of circular waste management, we can be at your side with words and deeds.
