The recovery and trade of scrap metal has been our profession for over 40 years. The passion we put into the collection and the possibility of giving them new life, thanks to a second use, is still that of many years ago. The same of Giovanni Fiducia, who in the 1950s in Parma, laid the foundations for what is now an industrial reality rooted throughout Northern Italy: Fiducia Srl

History

Parma, 1950s. It is here, in a basement in Borgo delle Colonne, that Giovanni Fiducia, together with his wife Mina, carries on his great passion: recovering old irons and cleaning them, and then reselling them on the market. A hobby that a few years later led Giovanni to open two warehouses: the first in Stradello S. Girolamo, the second in Via Mantova. These are important times, even for Parma. These were the years of the economic boom: the mechanical sector of the city grew and developed rapidly, at the same time the quantity of waste produced by industries and mechanical workshops increased. Giovanni kept pace, specialized and continued the junkyard business until 1981, when the construction of the ring road forced him to move the company's operational headquarters to the SPIP district, where it is still located today. 

It is not only the headquarters to be renewed, but also the machinery and equipment, which meet the now structured needs of Fiducia Srl: the handling of scrap and the ability to offer a qualified service in the recycling of ferrous materials. It is here that metals, now as then, are accumulated, recycled and finally delivered to foundries and steel mills in Italy and Europe to return to new life. In the meantime, Giovanni's son, Gianluca, has joined the company and will assume a managerial role in the 1990s.

Twenty years pass in which business development knows no end: from a small family-run company it gains a leading role in Emilia Romagna and throughout Northern Italy in the marketing of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap. In 2007 the new offices were built: divided over three floors, built using large glass surfaces to make the most of natural light, they respond to an innovative, dynamic project that looks to the future. A perspective that is strengthened with the recent entry into the company of Giovanni Fiducia who, not surprisingly, bears the name of his grandfather.
