Felix Renner and his wife Elisabeth registered a haulage business in 1945, the self-built truck still had to be operated as a wood gasifier. After the war there was enough work to clean up the rubble in the bombed city of Stuttgart. In this way, there was also a rubble stone trade, which was given up again in the 1950s when a “Magirus Deutz” and then a MAN shifted more to local and district long-distance transport. Soon five trucks and a trailer were in use. The business flourished and was relocated to Epplestrasse. In 1970 container service and sorting of recyclable materials were added as a second pillar, which developed well and currently accounts for 90% of sales.

Today the transport company operates as a disposal and recycling company. Since 1983 it has been run by Erna Schweizer, the daughter of the company founder and her husband. With their son Frank Schweizer, daughter-in-law Elke Schweizer and nephew Thomas Renner, they have succeeded in further expanding the container service and thus becoming an important partner in the construction industry.

In 1992, the legal form of the company was adapted to the changes and Felix Renner Transporte was converted into a GmbH. In 1997 the mini container system was introduced and a truck with a loading crane was purchased for it.

On the occasion of the company's 50th anniversary, the managing directors tackled a considerable investment with foresight in environmental policy: They began building a modern sorting plant at Epplestrasse 182-192, which was completed in the summer of 1996. In the REDI sorting system, all waste materials such as construction site mixed waste and commercial waste can be sorted and brought to the appropriate recycling facilities in order to return them as raw materials to the natural cycle.

In 2000 the self-delivery area was expanded.

Felix Renner Transporte GmbH has been a certified waste management company since 2003.

In 2015 Erna Schweizer retired from the management; her son Frank Schweizer has since taken over this position.
