Family owned and operated for over 40 years, F&A Machine has acquired extensive knowledge of machining many materials, including years of working with hard-to-machine metals, such as molybdenum, and molybdenum alloys such as TZM. Located in central New Jersey, we serve customers around the world.
F&A Machine first opened for business in Berkeley Heights, NJ 1974. After a short time we moved to Fanwood, NJ, and in 1980 moved to our current location in Middlesex, NJ. During F&A's early years we worked with a wide variety of materials such as copper, plastics, stainless, brass and many others. In 1985 we were approached by Veeco, formally known as Emcore, a company that manufactured CVD systems for semiconductor wafer growth, and we began manufacturing molybdenum components for their systems. Over the years since then we have acquired many skills and developed new methods for machining moly. Very recently our shop has nearly doubled in size and we have added several machines which allow us advanced CNC machining capabilities.
We've had the privilege of servicing many industries including: Laser diode, Semiconductor, Printing, Solar, Aerospace, Medical, and many more!
F&A machined critical molybdenum parts for the FIELDS Instrument for NASA's Parker Solar Probe, which launched from Cape Canaveral on August 12, 2018.
