We are a custom welding and fabrication company in Bastrop, TX. Our capabilities include on-site welding, construction, and repair. In our shop we are able to weld steel, stainless, and aluminum. Many of our projects include everything from fencing and gates all the way up to structural steel in both residential and commercial applications.

When a project or repair is needed to be completed in the field or on-site at your location, F2 MetalWorks is able to help. From project installations, repair procedures, or new construction, we strive to arrive within 24 hours.

On our truck we utilize a Miller welding machine, cutting torches, and various tools needed to complete most any job. In the shop we use Lincoln Electric machines and are capable to weld almost any material.

We are an OSHA 10 certified shop and our welders are AWS D1.1/D1.1M certified. We carry GL insurance and can provide a W9 if needed for your project.

Sean O'Grady - Owner

Sean started welding in 2008. More accurately, started learning to weld in 2008. The first arc was from a 110v MIG gun in the home garage. The first official schooling was the Continuing Education classes at Austin Community College. These were to "test the waters" to check if this infatuation was going to stick (pun intended). Fast forward to the thousands of hours spent learning the trade under the best and most skilled instructors ACC has to offer, and in 2011, started F2 MetalWorks.

The company started making simple projects for neighbors, and eventually making metal dominoes and boxes to pander at trade shows. This went on for years.

Then a truck, an engine driven welding machine, torch equipment, hand tools, and many more items started to be purchased. A shop was built. An employee was hired. Jobs that once fit in the corner of a table started to become measured in tons.

Today F2 is a fully functional shop and mobile welding service capable of tackling almost any size job with fast turn around and able to meet almost any deadlline.

Sean is D1.1 Certified for ASTM A-36 to weld unlimited thickness plate and pipe 24" in diameter and larger.

Dustin Wooley - Weldor

Dustin started with F2 in April 2019. After spending time in the field at the Bastrop Art Foundry, Dustin moved into welding school at Austin Community College and immediately found his passion. During this time, Dustin was also working as a precision fabricator at a sheet metal shop in Austin.

By the time he was qualifying to become a certified weldor, he was already good enough to land a pipe job in Lousianna. The hundreds of thousands of hours under the hood was proving to be instrumental in Dustin's ongoing success.

Very few can get as many welding certifications as Dustin in such a short time. A very skilled craftsman, Dustin is a top notch weldor and fabricator.

Dustin is D1.1 Certified to ASME Section 9 to weld unlimited thickness plate in all positions, and pipe from 4" in diameter and larger.
