Ten Year Visionary Goal

Evergreen’s Alliance for Sustainability catalyzes capacity building between individuals, businesses and organizations to promote systems thinking and connectedness rooted in deeper shared values.  EAS+Y’s sought-after expertise, varied income streams, and solid donor base support a platform for education outreach and project implementation throughout the Jefferson County, Colorado Front Range mountain region.

Our Beginnings

EAS+Y was birthed from monthly living room potluck gatherings of friends and neighbors sharing a passion for the health of our planet and our community.  Individually we recognized that transformative change is happening; for many that was an uncomfortable feeling.  By gathering together and sharing conversations about global, national, and local issues, there grew a shared agreement that collectively we could shape the world we live – by building community.  EAS+Y was formed as a 501(c)3 in 2009.  We outgrew living rooms and moved into public meeting spaces.

Now

We now meet every second Thursday evening, Evergreen Fire and Rescue, 1802 Bergen Parkway, Evergreen, CO from 6:30-8:30pm.  We host an array of guest speakers, screen provocative films, and engage in stimulating conversations.

We’re currently at that very exciting point of transforming from a homegrown grassroots group to a grown-up structured nonprofit with projects and programs galore.  There’s much work to be done!  We’re intentfully building the foundation for EAS+Y with sustainable organization principles embedded.  In order to meet the demand for our projects and create lasting impact in our community we need your help.  Please consider a donation to EAS+Y; we’re a 501(c)3 nonprofit and we’re making things happen.
